I'm Marco. I'm based in Bowness-on-Windermere — and I started FellWatch because Lake District holiday-let owners kept telling me the same thing: when the WiFi dies or a lock plays up, the only help comes from a call centre two hours down the motorway who's never seen the property.
I've spent years working in technology — building software, working with connected devices and remote monitoring systems. When I moved to the Lakes, I realised that world and the holiday-let world had barely met. Owners were dealing with preventable problems, constantly. The technology to fix most of them exists and isn't expensive. What was missing was a trusted local person to set it up properly, keep an eye on it, and actually be there when something went wrong.
I'm down the road. I set your property up. I know how it's put together. And I'm the one who picks up when you call.
Why "one person" matters
FellWatch is deliberately a local, personal service — not a platform, not a franchise, not a team of engineers you'll never meet. The whole model is built on the idea that the relationship is the product. You shouldn't have to explain your property's quirks every time you call. You shouldn't be passed to a second-line team. You shouldn't get a ticket number.
You get Marco. The same person who installed everything, who knows your cottage has a boiler in the outhouse and a dodgy socket in the utility room, who'll pick up when it's urgent and sort it.
For larger installations, specialist jobs, or during busy periods, I work with a trusted network of local contractors — vetted, briefed, and supervised by me. Whether it's a multi-property rollout or a job that needs a qualified electrician or plumber, you still deal with one point of contact. I coordinate everything; you don't manage anyone else.
