2. What data we collect and why

2.1 Enquiry form

When you submit an enquiry via our website, we collect:

  • First name and last name — to address you correctly
  • Email address — to respond to your enquiry and send a confirmation
  • Phone number (optional) — to follow up by phone if you prefer
  • Property or business type — to direct your enquiry to the right team

Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) — processing your enquiry is necessary for us to respond to your request for information about our services. Where you proceed to a contract with us, the legal basis shifts to contract performance (Article 6(1)(b)).

2.2 Website usage

This website does not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. We do not place non-essential cookies. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamp) may be retained by our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., for security and operational purposes for up to 30 days. These are not used to identify you personally.

2.3 Installed monitoring systems

If you become a FellWatch customer and we install monitoring equipment at your property, we collect and process operational data (temperature, humidity, access events, energy readings) in order to provide the service. This data is covered by a separate service agreement and Data Processing Addendum provided at the point of installation.

3. How we store and share your data

3.1 Brevo (contact and email service)

Enquiry data submitted via our web form is stored in Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), operated by Sendinblue SAS, 55 rue d'Amsterdam, 75008 Paris, France. Brevo acts as a data processor on our behalf under a Data Processing Agreement. Brevo is EU/UK GDPR compliant. Data is stored on servers within the European Economic Area.

We use Brevo to store your enquiry details and to send you an automatic confirmation email. We do not use Brevo to send marketing emails without your separate consent.

3.2 Vercel (website hosting)

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. Vercel processes standard web request data (IP address, headers) in order to serve pages to your browser. Vercel is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

3.3 No other sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third party, except where required to do so by law.

4. How long we keep your data

  • Enquiry data — retained for 24 months from the date of your enquiry, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If your enquiry leads to an installation contract, we retain relevant data for the duration of the service relationship plus 6 years (for legal and accounting purposes).
  • Email correspondence — retained for 6 years in line with standard UK business record-keeping requirements.
  • Server logs — retained by Vercel for up to 30 days.

5. Your rights

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access — you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your personal data where there is no compelling reason for us to continue holding it.
  • Right to restriction — you can ask us to restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
  • Right to data portability — you can ask us to provide your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object — you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. We will stop unless we have compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@fellwatch.co.uk with the subject line "Privacy request". We will respond within one calendar month.
