The local tech person
your business can actually call.
Most Lake District businesses don't have an IT department — and the nearest support is an hour down the motorway. FellWatch is the local person who sets your tech up properly, picks up when the WiFi dies mid-service, and sorts it without a ticket queue. Same person, every time.
Who we work with
Small businesses that just need it to work
When the card machine won't connect on a Saturday lunch rush, or the office WiFi keeps dropping on a video call, you don't need a national helpdesk reading from a script. You need someone local who knows your setup and can be on it the same day.
That's the gap FellWatch fills. The same person who wired your network is the one who answers when it goes wrong — and who can walk through the door if it needs hands on it.
Cafés, pubs & shops
Tills, card terminals, guest WiFi, and the network they all depend on — kept running through your busiest hours.
B&Bs & guesthouses
Reliable guest WiFi across thick stone walls, booking-system connectivity, and cameras done compliantly.
Offices & studios
Networking, computers, printers, email and backups — set up properly and supported by someone you can reach.
What we actually do
Your tech, set up and kept running
Business & guest WiFi
Reliable coverage through thick Lake District walls, a separate secure network for staff, and a clean guest WiFi that doesn't put your business at risk.
Connectivity that holds
Starlink for premises the fibre forgot, and 4G failover so a broadband outage never stops you taking payments or bookings.
Tills & payment networking
Card terminals, point-of-sale and booking systems on a stable connection — so the queue keeps moving when it matters most.
IP security cameras
Advised on compliant placement and configured properly — GDPR-aware, with signage and data handling done right. Physical fitting via a qualified installer.
IT setup & support
Computers, printers, email, file sharing and backups — set up sensibly and supported by one local person, not a call centre.
One person who owns it
No ticket queue, no being passed around. We fix what we can remotely, come out when it needs hands on it, and bring in a qualified trade when the job calls for one.
Run a B&B or guesthouse you leave empty between guests, or let it out as a holiday property? Our monitoring service for owners may fit better — we'll point you to whichever makes sense.

FAQs
Business tech — common questions
Do I have to sign a contract or commit to a monthly fee?
No. Business work is charged by the hour (£65/hr), with hardware quoted and invoiced separately at cost — no lock-in. The monitoring subscriptions on our pricing page are for unattended holiday lets, not staffed businesses. If you'd like us on call regularly, we can set up a retainer at a discounted hourly rate, but it's optional.
Can you come out quickly if something goes down mid-service?
We're local — based in Bowness-on-Windermere — so we can usually respond faster than a national helpdesk, and we'll often fix it remotely before a visit is even needed. We can't promise a guaranteed time slot, but emergency call-outs (£125/hr) are prioritised, and retainer clients come first.
Do you install the cameras and cabling yourselves?
We advise on compliant placement and handle all the configuration and networking ourselves. Physical fitting of IP cameras and any cabling that needs a qualified trade is carried out by a vetted installer we work with — briefed and coordinated by us, so you still deal with one person throughout.
